  Cato CTRL to showcase innovative approaches to IoT fingerprinting and AI-driven policy management, empowering enterprises to proactively defend against hidden threats

The sessions featuring Cato CTRL include:

    • Session: “From Passive to Statistical Fingerprinting – A Journey of Confidence”  
    • Speaker: Sergey Volkovich, data scientist at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL 

“Today’s misconfigurations aren’t just sitting in plain sight within familiar settings, they emerge from the context around those settings,” said Naor Kalbo, principal researcher at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL. “In my session, I will demonstrate how an AI-powered approach to policy management can act like a garbage collector for security, sweeping away overlooked policy debris before threat actors can weaponize it.” 

“Classifying IoT devices with confidence is no longer optional—it’s essential,” said Sergey Volkovich, data scientist at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL. “In my talk, I will show how to move from passive methods to statistical fingerprinting, which gives enterprises a far more reliable and scalable way to understand what’s really living on their networks.”
