Cato deepens its commitment to the Asia Pacific region signing a distribution agreement with AsiaNet Technologies (HK) and opening its second Hong Kong PoP

TEL AVIV, Israel, February 23, 2022 —  Cato Networks, provider of the world’s first SASE platform, announced today the joining of AsiaNet Technologies (HK) Ltd. to Cato’s channel partner program in Hong Kong and Macau and the opening of a new Hong Kong Point of Presence (PoP). Both come as Cato announces strong channel results in 2021, with deal registrations increasing overall by 92% YoY and near 100% revenue growth.

Cato Expands the Reach of its SASE Platform with AsiaNet

AsiaNet will join a Cato channel ecosystem that grew 41% YoY last year. Leveraging its market expertise and existing network and channel outreach, AsiaNet will lead the introduction of Cato Networks into Hong Kong and Macau and provide regional support to system integrators and resellers of Cato’s cloud-native SASE platform.

“With more than 15 years of experience and expertise in the IT industry, AsiaNet is a trusted partner for networking and cybersecurity solutions,” says Daniel Lee, Vice President of Sales, Asia-Pacific and Japan at Cato Networks. “AsiaNet’s team offers a comprehensive range of professional services to support clients in different industries to safeguard their assets via innovative technologies and managed services.”

“The world is undergoing a paradigm shift in how businesses address networking and security, especially as work patterns continue to evolve,” said Eddie Ho, Director, AsiaNet Technologies. “Becoming part of the Cato Networks channel allows us to provide a solution that can deliver both networking and security as a global, cloud-native service. Using the Cato SASE Cloud, our customers can easily and efficiently connect and secure their remote workers and cloud resources, as well as their branch offices and other locations.”

Cato Strengthens Its Global Backbone with a New PoP in Hong Kong

Cato also deployed a second PoP in Hong Kong to support the rapidly growing customer demand in the region. All Cato’s 70+ PoPs are already fully redundant. With a second PoP in region, users are further protected against unforeseen datacenter outages. If a problem occurs in a datacenter hosting a Cato PoP, such as the one that recently struck the Interxion datacenter in the UK, Cato’s network is designed to automatically switch network traffic to the closest unaffected PoP.

“Having PoPs in two of Hong Kong’s premier datacenters ensures our customers won’t miss a beat in the event of an unexpected downtime,” said Aviram Katzenstein, VP Operations at Cato. “This strengthens our commitment to be the best global provider of SASE cloud services to enterprises with offices in Hong Kong, China, and worldwide.”
