Cato Networks to Expose Cutting-Edge Cyberattack Techniques at HackMiami 2025
Cato CTRL to reveal how today’s most advanced threat actors bypass even the most robust enterprise defenses
TEL AVIV, Israel, May 8, 2025 – Cato Networks, the SASE leader, today announced that Etay Maor (chief security strategist at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL) and Danna Pelleg (MDR manager at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL) will present at HackMiami 2025.
The session, “From Low Visibility to No Visibility – How Threat Actors Remain Hidden in Plain Sight” (Saturday, May 17 at 2:00 PM ET), will shed light on how modern threat actors bypass even the most layered security defenses.
Today, enterprises deploy numerous security point solutions in a defense-in-depth strategy, making it increasingly difficult for threat actors to succeed and difficult to manage. Yet, sophisticated threat actors continue to adapt, leveraging advanced evasion methods to remain undetected. The session will take attendees behind the scenes of recent cyberattacks and demonstrate how threat actors manipulate legitimate tools, exploit cloud services, and use obfuscation tactics to stay hidden.
“Threat actors are no longer just skilled hackers. They’re professional, organized, and constantly evolving,” said Etay Maor, chief security strategist at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL. “This session is about pulling back the curtain on the invisible cyberwarfare happening every day, and helping defenders understand the rules of engagement.”
“Attackers have become masters of blending in. Our job as defenders is to understand not just the tools they use, but the creative mindset behind them,” said Danna Pelleg, MDR manager at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL. “This session is about inspiring and equipping security teams with the context they need to detect the undetectable and outsmart threat actors.”
