Cato CTRL to explore how AI coding agents are reshaping vulnerability discovery       

TEL AVIV, Israel, February 26, 2026 – Cato Networks, the SASE leader, today announced that Vitaly Simonovich (senior security researcher at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL) and Inga Cherny (security researcher at Cato Networks and member of Cato CTRL) will present at RootedCON Madrid 2026.

The session, “Vibe Hunting: Turning AI Coding Agents into Autonomous Vulnerability Researchers (Thursday, March 5 at 12:30 PM CET), will dive deep into how AI coding agents are evolving from developer assistants into security research tools capable of identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities.

As AI coding agents rapidly mature, their ability to understand context, write and modify code, and analyze complex systems is opening up new possibilities in cybersecurity. In this session, Cato CTRL will examine how these AI agents can be adapted to perform vulnerability discovery—augmenting security researchers and accelerating security analysis at scale.
